9 Lives/Paws for Life provides a rehoming resource for people who wish to rehome their cat, or find a home for a stray they are feeding.  We advertise the cat via Cat Chat, a well known rehoming website.

All offers of homes are subject to a home visit.  If the home is suitable, the applicant's details are passed on to the current owner. Thereafter the two parties can make their own arrangements.

We do not take in/board cats.

PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS A WEBSITE PURPORTING TO BE 9 LIVES (9lives.org.uk). THIS IS AN UNAUTHORISED COPY OF AN OLD VERSION OF THE PfL/9LIVES WEBSITE, COPIED FROM AN INTERNET ARCHIVE. THE PERSON WHO CREATED IT HAS GIVEN A FALSE NAME/ADDRESS AND HAS HOSTED THE SITE WITH AN AMERICAN HOSTING COMPANY. THIS PERSON IS COMMITTING INTERNET ABUSE. WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO TRACE HIM/HER AND THE HOSTING COMPANY WILL NOT HELP US. THE INFORMATION ON THIS SITE IS OUT OF DATE SO PLEASE DISREGARD ANY INFORMATION REGARDING CATS FOR HOMING etc. ON THIS FRAUDULENT WEBSITE.

We have taken in cats in the past and these cats are still in our care. They are elderly and/or disabled and have not been found homes. They need frequent visits to the vet. We are grateful for any help towards our vet bills. We are currently trying to raise £5,000 for vet's bills.

Would you be WILLing to leave us a legacy or bequest? Please download information about this way of providing us with funds to continue our work.

OUR POLICY ON EUTHANASIA

We believe that every cat has a right to life, therefore no cat was ever put to sleep while able to enjoy quality of life with or without the help of medication. Euthanasia was employed only to save suffering when it became necessary when quality of life had gone and there was no hope of improvement.
